Where do we start?

It sounds like this is a question you’ve been asking yourself for awhile. Where do I even begin to start feeling better?

First off, you are checking out therapy pages… so you are already making moves!

Anxieties, sadness, emptiness, lack of direction and energy, unhealthy relationships and even past traumas probably all popped up during Covid to say… “I’M STILL HERE”.

Now you are left dealing with how to manage a changing world AND your own mood, relationships, and mental state all while trying to stay alive!!!!

Even just typing that made me need to take a deep breath….

I think I may be able to offer some things that could help.

First of all, I am an art therapist. This means that I am trained at guiding others through creating art that can not only be insightful and meaningful but also cathartic and mindful.

Secondly, I am a DBT informed therapist. (I practice as a therapist with STLDBT if you are looking for the full DBT program.) As a private practice clinician, I rely heavily on the use of effective and appropriate skills to cope in the moment.

Thirdly, I am trained in Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is incredibly useful when needing to process previous events or treat PTSD symptoms.

All of this to say that I can help give you the tools and support to explore how to get where you want to be… when you would fall asleep at night looking forward to the next day.

We both want that for you.
